About the theme Built Environment
This theme includes energy saving and utilizations of sustainable energy in the built living and working environment. The chances for the Dutch business in Ukraine in the field of built environment are identified.
Block heating is responsible for a big part of the Ukrainian usage of primary energy en supplies in more than 65% of all the need of heating of dwelling and offices. There are hundreds cogeneration-installations and many then thousands household installations which only provide heat. It is estimated that approximately 60% of the energy in the chain is being wasted, of which the biggest part at the end user. The improvement of energy efficiency of these systems is a great chance for the Dutch business.
Besides, there are possibilities in the field of isolation and small sustainable energy, mostly in combination with block heating. With last mentioned can be thought of sun collectors and cold-heat storage.
NUSEP plans a sequence of activities in the field of built environment to develop the possibilities of sustainable energy and energy saving. This includes:
• Knowledge development and transfer by market research, maintain/building a network with governments, business, NGO organisations, knowledge institutes, sector organsations and sharing data through the NUSEP website.
• Project development to improve energy housekeeping by agenda settings, best practices, assistance and advises by experts, recruitment of financial resources and subsidies for projects.
• Collective promotion of the Dutch business by outgoing and incoming trade missions, continuous promotion in Ukraine (sector, technology) and visits.
The exact working-plan will be discussed in October and November by the members of NUSEP and the EVD. This working-plan will be a part of the 2g@there program for the years 2009 – 2012. Dutch companies and organisations who want to collaborate are invited.
